I adore sitter sessions just as much as newborn sessions. This stage is pure magic, your little one’s personality and features are blossoming right before your eyes, and these moments are truly worth capturing 🤍
It’s no surprise that many families return to me several times throughout their baby’s first year as each milestone is incredibly special 🥹

Those two were definitely meant to be brothers. While some siblings might be too little to fully embrace their newest role, others are totally ready for it.
Sibling photos aren’t always easy to capture but I always just go with the flow and encourage you make it fun for your toddler. Forcing them isn’t going to help (the two years old will confirm) so remember to come with no to very little expectations, have fun, embrace the moment and let the magic unfold 🤍

While it is scientifically impossible, that’s definitely how it feels 🥹 isn’t it incredible how much your baby change in that first year? They have learned so much without us realising.
Here’s a list of what’s changed since you’ve held that tiny newborn for the first time:
🤍 they’ve rolled, sat, crawled and some are already walking! 🤍 the windy smile has turned to giggle and smile on demand 🤍 they have teeth (2-6 usually) 🤍 they eat everything 🤍 they understand instructions (shake, pick it up, eat it…) 🤍 they say a few words
And all of this within 11-12 months, that’s an awful lot! So don’t be too disheartened if your little one isn’t sleeping too well just yet or appears to be a little grumpy at times, they’re just too busy learning new skills and adjusting to our world ❤️

The quality of that last photo isn’t as good because I no longer have the original but how special is it that I get to photograph so many babies every year through out their childhood 🥹
Whilst capturing the newborn tiny features is so special, the magic doesn’t stop here. Every milestone that follows like first smiles, first steps, growing personalities is also a chapter worth remembering.
From newborn snuggles to toddler giggles, every stage is beautiful, fleeting, and so worth documenting 🤍

Being a photographer is more than just pressing the button. The best part is the creative side of it and every year I try to come up with some different/new to offer. Seeing a vision come to life makes it so worth! 🤩
I loved making this little DIY for this year’s mini sessions so I thought I would share how it’s been done ☺️
What you need:
✨Fitness Hula Hoop (pick whatever size you prefer) ✨Brown insulation tape ✨Garden twist wire ✨Christmas garland and foliage (I went for artificial so it holds throughout all the sessions)
From there, it’s pretty easy! Just cover your hoop with the brown tape, this is so the wire and foliage attach easily. And then just attach your garland, foliage or whatever accessories you want with the twist wire! Yep it’s that simple really! I think I’ll add a bit more to it next year but I’m so pleased with how it turned out and it made the perfect background for my Christmas photoshoots 🤩
