There’s never really a wrong time to photograph your baby 🤍

But after the newborn stage, the next perfect little milestone has to be the sitter session.

Usually around 6–10 months, when your baby is sitting confidently but not quite walking yet, it’s such a gorgeous stage to capture.

Those big expressions, little rolls, growing personalities… and maybe even that first tiny tooth 🥹

It’s one of those stages that feels like it lasts forever, until suddenly, they’re on the move.

2026 has definitely been the year of the cake smash in the studio and I’m loving it!

So many of my little one year olds have been far too busy to sit down for their cake 😂 So out came the little stool for this gorgeous girl… and honestly, eating cake standing up might just be even cuter 🤩

I’m Justine! Photographer, mum, baby whisperer (on a good day 😅) and the person behind White Shadows.

After so many years photographing babies and families, I still genuinely love that this is what I get to call my job.

My new studio has become such a special little space too, bright, calm, cosy and designed so that when you arrive, you really don’t need to worry about much at all. Just bring yourselves (and the baby… definitely bring the baby 😂).
