Why you should book a sitter session?
Sitter sessions are often disregarded but it's such a beautiful age to photograph. These take place in my studio in Hawkinge, Folkestone.
Between the age of 5 to 8 months old, your baby will learn to sit up and suddenly, your newborn is no longer tiny!
Toothless grins, chubby cheeks and thighs rolls, big sparkly eyes devouring their parents and siblings, it's all got to be captured before it changes!
When is the best age?
Anywhere between 5-8 months old, when baby can sit up confidently. If baby crawls already, that's not a problem, we can play chase!
How long does it last?
Usually around 45 minutes. When you think about it the attention span of a 3 years old is 10 minutes so imagine what it's like for a baby! I recommend having the session right after nap and food so they are smiley and ready to play!
How many outfits can we choose?
Up to 3 outfits. We don't want to spend too long changing them. Especially if your baby is on the move, they won't want to be messing about getting dressed! I also always encourage having a few shots of baby down to their nappy to showcase all their crummy baby rolls!
Can my family be on the photos?
Of course you can! I always encourage parents to jump on a few shots. Siblings can jump on too!
How does the session work?
The key to capturing stunning timeless images is to let your baby play and photograph them in a very relaxed natural way. This is why all my sitter sessions are 100% baby led. I have a collection of beautiful little wooden toys perfect for this age which are fun for them and beautiful to photograph!
During the session, we will play, explore, tickle, dance and even sing along to their favourite nursery rhymes!
This is also the best age to capture all their little features such as hands, feet, lashes, baby bubbles and everything that us, as parents, can't always capture with our phones!
