Oh my goodness, a cake smash photoshoot for your baby is an absolute must! It's such a fun and adorable way to capture those precious first birthday moments. I will capture all the messy, joyful, and cute moments as your little one dives into their cake in my studio in Hawkinge (Folkestone). You'll treasure these photos forever!
Before your session
When booking, we will make sure to find a date and time that best suit your baby. When planning for your cake smash session, there is a lot to take into consideration. First of all, if you want the photos back on time for their birthday, I recommend having the session at least 10 days before their big day. The second and main thing is to work around baby's nap times. Usually babies are very happy when waking up from their nap and always enjoy a little snack so coming to me right after their nap is a must! Lastly, is your baby quite easy going or quite shy? Have they started nursery recently? All these are questions I will ask beforehand so I can be prepared on the day!
During your session
If you decide to go with the silver or gold packages, your session will have 3 key moments! First, the pre cake photos when your little one starts to get used to me and interact with the camera.
Then we bring the cake and this is where the fun begins! Some babies will really tuck into it and have so much fun while others are little more apprehensive. It's alright, I'm here to capture it all!
The last part is so much fun! This is when I bring out my baby bath and let baby splash everywhere! The best thing is, you get to go home with a clean baby!
